Practical questions about giving it
Can the recording happen on the birthday itself?
We cannot promise a particular day. Recording months open four calendar months ahead, and you choose a month rather than a day. We confirm the specific recording date 30 days beforehand. You can give the preparation gift box on the birthday and enjoy the recording experience later; allow enough time for the estimated courier delivery.
What do we actually hand over on the day?
A "What to expect" gift box, with estimated dispatch and delivery within seven days of your order, sent to the address you choose. It explains the gift and process, and has space for 10 to 20 treasured photos or documents, which we scan professionally and return on recording day.
Can several siblings contribute?
One person places the order and makes the payments. How the family shares the cost between yourselves is entirely up to you; we do not split payments across multiple payers.
What does it cost, and what is the deposit?
The complete audio recording is R 22 500. The R 7 500 deposit secures your recording month; it is the first of three payments, not the total. Filmed video is an optional R 13 500 add-on. Paying everything upfront takes 10% off the whole order.

How long can the family access the finished recording?
Published recording links, downloads and access stay live for 12 months from publishing. Continued hosting after that is optional and quoted separately for a nominal fee, so we recommend downloading and keeping your own copies.
